CSGO Projections & Breakdown for DraftKings (3/9)

It’s the first day of ESL Pro League Season 15 and we will be getting to know a ton of teams as we have 24 teams playing at this LAN.

G2 vs Looking For Org: They will still be looking for that Org after this one because they get an opening matchup with G2 who are getting backed as -10,000 favorites on betting websites which is insane. G2 is definitely a team you want to think about 3-stacking because of the likely insane scores which will come out of this one. NiKo, m0NESY and huNter- are my picks because I think the pricing on other matchups allows us to get the best guys regardless of price. OH ALSO ALEKSIB IS NOT PLAYING TOMORROW BECAUSE HE GOT COVID, DO NOT PLAY HIM.

MOUZ vs Entropiq: This matchup is a toss up based on a lot of factors which I’ll get into now. First off Mouz just made a ton of roster moves and lost their best player (Ropz) to FaZe so the roster moves weren’t exactly the best. Now Mouz does have an academy team where they grabbed their new AWPer (Torzi) from but he has only played 11 maps and has made a very quick rise from the tier 2-3 scene. Mouz is also getting Bymas back which is an upgrade from JDC so that’s good for them. But overall I have never been impressed w this team when Dexter has been their IGL, I think they play way too sloppy and the fact that they retooled their roster with NBK is an issue. Entropiq is not a great team either, it feels like they need to make one roster move to get to the next level because they’ve been hovering around #10 in the world for a while now. This team is not in a good spot right now either having lost to ENCE & the Bluejays both by 0-2 score lines where they failed to reach double digit round totals in 3 of 4 maps. That’s absolutely abysmal especially vs a team like Bluejays that was #41 in the world when they played them. While I think MOUZ is sloppy I think they are more talented BUT I do not want to risk a lot here. The most I would do is a one-off with my main choice being Frozen ($7800) who locked in a multi-year contract with Mouz and is slowly filling in Ropz’s insanely large shoes.

NIP vs Fnatic: This is where we get the value. DraftKings decided to price REZ ($9600) insanely high even though he’s projecting for like 45 DKP. Now some explaining is in order here. Why is Fnatic playing with some dudes named Peppzor and Regali? Well both are academy players and they’ve been under the Fnatic banner for nearly a year at this point. This is actually a better solve than most might think as they have likely played with Alex (Fnatic’s IGL) at least a few times which is good for communication which is massive in CSGO. But the issue of course is the upgrade in terms of competition which is where the mainstays of Fnatic like Krimz, Alex and Mezii will need to come in. For anyone who doesn’t know, Fnatic is selling Brollan to NIP and Smooya got released so Regali will be the new AWP and Peppzor will likely fill in some rifle role. The main thing though is that Mezii and Krimz (and maybe Alex) will need to step up in terms of firepower for Fnatic to have any type of chance here and the good thing is they are MORE than capable with tons of experience under their belts. I mean shit Mezii was just getting paid $1m+ by C9 before they imploded which shows his talent level is insane. NIP is good but their team is also playing with a stand-in (phzy) and that is their primary AWPer which is why they have trouble putting teams away as they don’t have a real strong AWP presence with Dev1ce still on the bench. NIP also has a very weak map pool which I think will keep Fnatic close tomorrow. LOVE the value we can get out of Krimz ($5200) & Mezii ($6600).
